The Memoir of a Lone Firefly
I'm writing this to you
to let you know that i tried to get through
but i couldn't quite make it
so i hope you don't see me unfit
I thought you would come back
i tried shining my light into the black
but you never came
and eventually it went out, my flame
it went out while all the world was waiting for the sun
while all the numbers of awake were equal to none
except for one, waiting to see
and that one was me
i was waiting to see you fall under my light
but you never came out of the night
and so now i've passed away
and like all fireflies, i've given way
for the sun
while sleeping in the eternal winter
all worn out and done
Late last night, and the night before
Tommyknockers, Tommyknockers,
Knocking at my door
Want to go out,
Don't know if I can
'cause no one understands the Tommyknockerman
Sun's in the heater,
Pad's on the shed,
Metal's in the ground,
Peter? He's dead.
Blood, it runs.
Minds, they're read
Music, it plays
on in your head
Dogs, they bark.
Snakes they hiss
Driven to madness,
With a little bliss

The Ashes of my Consolation
I see these ashes falling like snow,
they touch my skin and burn my soul,
they fall like the leaves in autumn,
but there's no beauty in them,
they tell the story of my life,
they burn down the fireflies,
and they whisper of my doomed fate
these are the ashes of my consolation
can you see them falling?
Without a hand
The pen writes upon the parch,
Without a hand to guide it's march.
The knife cuts the kitchen clean,
Without a hand to guide it seems.
The kite flies without a hand,
To guide it through this wonderland.
The ball rolls across the street,
Without a hand for it to meet.
The axe falls upon the tree,
Without a hand to yank it free.
The child goes into the world,
Without a hand to make it twirl.

I am a very introverted person. I used to play soccer. I have Marfan's Syndrome, which has caused my lung to collapse like four times. I will help anyone as much as possible, just ask!
